Turner Falls, OK

I'm all for multi-tasking!

Braden:

1. Break-in new hiking boots.
2. Get used to carrying a pack.
3. Have fun with family.

This morning we headed down to Turner Falls, a gorgeous place in South Oklahoma about 90 miles from Edmond to do a little hiking and see the falls.

When I saw this quilt about four years ago... I fell in love and knew I had to make it when Kayla got engaged!  I took it to Kayla and Tyson when we saw them last week in Utah.   Tammy is babysitting it until the wedding :)  

Hopefully they get it back.  I don't fully trust Tammy with my quilts.

We've been going through old photos to send to Tammy to make the wedding video of Kayla and Tyson.  I haven't looked at some of these for years.... and yet it seems like just a few minutes ago I was holding that little thing and kissing her sweet red head.

Eagle project completed!!!!

Today was the BIG day.  Eagle project day.  It was pretty cold (37 degrees!) but Braden did a great job recruiting people to help and he had about 25 show up.  The good thing about doing this on a cold day... no spiders!!!

Shea got a message on Facebook today from Courtney, her bff in Lubbock.  It was so sweet I wanted to preserve it for posterity.  That's what this blog is for.  Preserves for Prosperity.  With capital P's.

I miss you soooooooooooooooooo much Shea! I wish we could go back in time and relive all those memories we made together! I miss playing on the trampoline with the sprinklers on and trying out new things and taking care of Bella's kittens! I miss you playing the piano and me playing the violin to the same song and trying to see if we could make homemade gum! I miss giving makeovers to our Webkinz and sewing one of mine up after it got burned from the hairdryer! I miss trying to see if it was possible to fry an egg on concrete! Most of all I miss you and your crazy but wonderful ideas people would never think of! I miss you so much you don't even know!
