Kayla and roommates

I finally went to Facebook to see pictures of Kayla and her roommates.  I wasn't too mean about it though, I just commented that I hoped a flower pot fell on her head.   One of Kayla's friend's mother commented back that it was nice that I was praying for my daughter.  Made me LAUGH!  If you don't get it then you need to watch this.

Allie & Kayla
Kayla taught Allie on her mission and now they are roommates.  So cool!!

Seattle!!!!

Kayla and I flew to Seattle for four days.  It was a blast!   We went to the different areas that Kayla served in during her mission and visited many, many people.  It was fun to see how much she is loved and the wonderful impact she had on so many.  It's always hard to decide which photos to put on the blog, so here are a few of my favorites.

Aubrey & Kayla
Being old and slow, I was always behind :)
We hiked to Twin Falls.
It was a gorgeous day and a perfect hike!!

Ferns... my favorite!

We spent a few hours in downtown Seattle....
did a duck ride and ate clam chowder at Ivers.
Drizzly, but wonderful!

Princess LunaChick was our guide.
It was a blast!

I love float planes and this one was taking off right outside our duck...

Kayla and Hadley

Kayla and Melissa...
we had a wonderful dinner at her home

Kayla with the Allens.
We stayed at their home... this was one of the places Kayla lived.

Annette, Jasmine and Kayla.  We also stayed here.
Annette is a second mother to the missionaries... so wondeful!!
Jasmine only walks in circles.  Strange little dog :)

We went out to breakfast with my Aunt JeNeal...
Kayla's middle name is JeNeal after my sister
who was named after this wonderful person.

Kayla and Sister Graf at the temple
one of her favorite companions

Kayla and Patti... we were able to go to the temple with Patti for her first time.
It was wonderful time with so many people that love my little girl!
Sister Kim, Sister Graf and Kayla
Cheesecake Factory.
YUM!
have I told you lately that I want to live in the Northwest?
well.... I do!
Someday.  Someday.

Kayla is HOME!!!

Here we are just waiting.
The plane was 15 minutes late.
I was fine with that.
really.

Shea peaking through... she wants to hug Kayla first .

But I got to hug her first!!!!

Then it was Dad's turn!!

and here we are... so happy!!

It was VERY windy today so the
balloons all popped before we got home.
Yes - I should have listened to Shea
when she said to leave them inside.

Reunited with Jack!!

Can you believe it...
Sasha LOVES Kayla!!!

Lexus was our photographer.
A wonderful photographer!

Fish. Clam chowder. Flowers.

It's a good thing Kayla has been taking pictures (and sending them to me:) since I just haven't been using the camera much lately.

Lack of pictures....

Kayla sent me the memory card from her phone a while ago, but the pictures were locked and even the camera store wasn't able to retrieve them. I sent it back to her... and she has someone there trying to get the photos out. So frustrating!!!!

I was visiting Elder Rose's blog and was able to snatch this photo....

Isn't she beautiful!!!

Doesn't every family have a little weirdness?

It's just not usually posted on their blog....

Kayla sent us this card for Thanksgiving and put all the things she is thankful for. Of course there is the normal stuff, but I want to point out the not-so-normal stuff. If you don't understand some of them, don't worry - that just means you aren't as weird as us. That's a good thing.

You're killing me Smalls.

Happy Birthday Kayla!!

Last Sunday was Kayla's 22nd Birthday.... and yes, it was VERY hard to NOT be able to talk with her and wish her happy birthday!! We made her promise to take lots of pictures and send them right away. Here are a few of my favorites....

Sister Graf decorated their room....

Wendy and her kids surprised Kayla with birthday cake.

Cheesecake (Kayla's favorite!) from the Relief Society President

So rainy... (isn't it beautiful!?)

Sister Sawyer and Sister Graf...

Kayla and Laura, an older sister they often do service for. If you receive Kayla's emails from me - this is the lady that tried to poison Kayla with rancid guacamole. So funny!

Random beautiful shot of my baby!
