Thanksgiving Discovery Gardens

Thanksgiving Point is an AMAZING place very close to our house.   Years ago (probably 2003)  Tammy and I took our kids and took pictures... these are some of my favorite photos.

Ann, mom & I took all the kids yesterday and had a blast!  The Noah's ark still spews water, which was wonderful since it was 90 degrees.

This shot of Emily is adorable!

Don't feed the teenagers.

The photo below was Shea at this same door.
Why does she have to keep growing up?
baahaawaahaahaa.

Mom and I went to the Denver Temple Saturday morning for my cousin's daughters wedding.  It was so fabulous being part of this and being in the temple!

....and the chickens came home

Bob the builder got the chicken mansion to the point where we could bring our babies home....  He's still got to finish it out with a window and trim, but the chickens don't really care about that.

Kamo and his cone of shame just doesn't understand why he can't play with the chickens and ducks.

Run free little friends, run free!

Goodbye Jack

Today we lost Jack.... he has been part of our family for 12 years.  Camping, snow-shoeing, hiking, Texas, Oklahoma and Utah.  Many, many wonderful times.

We love you Jack!

This was Jack looking all beautiful for Kayla's mission homecoming.

Alpine Loop - done!!

I had a goal this year to bike the Alpine Loop.
10.5 miles straight up hill.
8060 ft. elevation at the top
40 miles total.

It was sooooooo hard.  I complained just a little right after I lost one of my lungs up a BIG hill.  Then maybe once or twice more.  But that was all.
Really.

LOVE this photo!!

Greg went on a 10 mile run before we rode.
Loser.

I was so tired at this point, I couldn't even get my leg over the bike.

Me: Don't hate me cause I'm faaabulous!
Robert:  Why do I have to be such a great husband?

p.s.  I will not be doing this ride again.  For MANY reasons.  My laziness is just one of them.

Quilting Kayla

Tyson had to be at BYU the past two days, so Kayla and I hung out and she made a beautiful quilt for her missionary companion's wedding present.

And she didn't get frustrated once.
Nope, not once.
