17 Rocks! Part I

This week is Spring break... but unfortunately Robert still had to teach.  It was also Braden's 17th birthday so I took him, two friends, Brendon & Sawyer (yep - that's his name.  weird) along with Grandma Zee and Kayla and Tyson down to St. George and Zions Park.

So very much fun!!

I'm wishing I could have done this with Kayla and Andrew when they were this age.  The kids had a blast and so did the mom :):)  It's going to take a few posts to adequately tell the story.

We stayed at the condo's.... lots of old memories of Easter with the Law family here.
The boys played WII, watched movies and tried to get hyped up on caffeine.  That last part didn't work out so well for them.  baahaahaa.

Grandma Zee the cook

I got to the pool just as the boys were getting out and so only got photos of me, Kayla and Tyson.  It was 80 degrees and beautiful!

BIRTHDAY BOY!
no - the vacuum wasn't his present.
it was to clean up the broken glass :)

The beginning of the chicken mansion...

Kayla and Tyson are here for the weekend....
so we put them to work.
Of course - that's what good parents do.

The rest of us hauled mulch for the garden....

Thank goodness for great neighbors that let us borrow their 4-wheeler :):)

Never to old for an Easter Egg Hunt

We have the PERFECT back yard for an Easter Egg Hunt...
Thank goodness Shea reminded me of that :)

Water trampoline turned mud fight...

Shea and her friend Brooklyn had the brilliant idea to make a water trampoline.
Sometimes, I think the internet is evil.

Recipe for Disaster:

  • big piece of plastic
  • lots of duct tape
  • blue food coloring
  • paper fish covered with blue duct tape

30 minutes later....
the water trampoline turned into a wading pool
so Brody came over to test it out

30 minutes after that....
the wading pool became a slip and slide

30 minutes after that....
the slip and slide became a mud fight

Lucky me.

Impact!

Braden is the sound guy for Lehi High School's indoor drumline (Impact).  We went to Payson Friday to watch his competition.  They have been getting first at almost all of their competitions.  Pretty sure that is because of the most-awesomenest sound guy ever.

Gardening with Sophia

Sophia came over to help us start the garden.
and pull weeds.
and shovel mulch.
and move rocks.

It was a bizzy, bizzy day.

Luckily, we had Kamo helping....

Bob the builder worked on the arbor...

and then we rested...
