Girls Trip!!!

Tammy surprised me with a trip to Washington for my birthday..... and it was a blast!!! Kristi came along and it was three days of laughter and fun

We landed in Seattle and headed down to
Pikes Place Market
After this we did the Seattle underground tour.

Then we headed over to the Lopez Island and
stayed in a beautiful Bed & Breakfast

It was pretty rainy that day, but we managed to
do a little hiking and drove around the island.
Don't you just love that fog and mist??
I do!

We spent Saturday in Bellingham.

Whatcom Falls was beautiful

Birch Bay beach.  Look at the HUGE stump!

Sunday we headed up to Vancouver and spent
the day with Alison, my friend from college.

Alison, Kristi, Melanie (Tammy's HS friend that joined us from
Seattle), me and Tammy.  Cypress Mountain Ski Resort

Capilano Suspension Bridge was a blast!

Bloomington Lake

Gorgeous!!!!!

Play.

We do try to have a little fun...

Tyson and Jaxson doing the sneezing game.

Up at the swimming pool.
I think Jaxson is going to enjoy it more next summer :)

Eating rocks, dirt and sticks.
It was a great day for Jaxson

Playing ball with Grandpa

Two old men and a baby.
and a weiner-dog.

Work.

We've spent quite a bit of time up at the cabin this summer.... working!!
  • New windows and trim
  • Pruning trees
  • New paint
  • Pulling out shrubs

Risking life and limb.  Robert and Greg are awesome!

I generally choose not to shower or put on makeup at the cabin.
It's my middle-age rebellion.

Hot Lumberjacks.
that's us.

Before the logs:  Tyson is so very glad he married into this family.
After the logs:  Bear Lake isn't as much fun as it used to be.

These windows take a village....
