Builders without Borders

Getting ready...
Shea and Jade cleaning up the trailer so we can load 'em up.
There were 12 trailers, 206 people and a little crazy.

Entertaining themselves during the 12 hour drive down.

We stopped at my dad's for the night and to have a little fun.

The water is cold!

Dad, Madeline and my half-sister Paula
Out in the harbor for a little boat ride
to enjoy the Christmas lights

After we crossed the border, we got lost.
Here is our police escort.
Nothing like getting a police escort in Tijuana Mexico.
nope - nothing.

Karina and I having Ceviche.
YUM!

Single-mom food project.

Robert gave Karina his tool belt.
She was SO happy!

Evenings at the church

We went back to our job site from last year.
It was so very great to see that the work had been completed.

Brody gave us some of his toys to hand out.

The Hanna family made gift bags for us to take.
These are the kids at church on Sunday
 Shea and Jade's job site

On Sunday we all went to see their site.
Their 4 year old was sick so we gave them medicine from our car.
They were living out of their car while the house was being built.
We gave them all the food we had in our cars as it didn't look like
they had much.  Silvia (the mom) asked if we could stay longer
so that she could make us something to eat.  It was very touching.

Jade gave Silvia some money from her family to help with food.
It was very touching to see her reaction.

These kids were hard workers!

Orphanage
On Sunday we also went to visit an orphanage.

Sewing Projects

This year, I helped more at the church with the sewing projects

New Years Eve

Robert's Job Site
This job site was for a mom with three kids, one
that is terminally ill.

Karina, me and Wendy

It was amazing to see how much they completed in one week.
