dang, I'm tired!

We got a pallet of flagstone delivered...

Very, very heavy flagstone.

So we can have pretty walkways and a fire pit.

So we can have S'mores.  

Of course.

Furniture dollies aren't just for furniture any more.

After three trips to Home Depot -
we got the right one.

Next we (that would be Robert) have dig down
for each  flagstone, put down sand and then replace each one.
UGH.

Braden's room and the upstairs

We have two bedrooms, a bathroom and bonus room upstairs.  This is Shea and Braden's domain... Braden took a few pictures for me to share:

The bathroom is small... but since Braden has to
clean this one I don't think he minds :)
There isn't a window so we added a solar tube and the light is fantastic!

I like roasting marshmallows.

So I bought Robert a chainsaw.

That's just the kind of wife I am.

I helped for a while.  And felt way cool with the chain saw!
Keith, our neighbor came over with his 4-wheeler and trailer
and we got most everything cut up and hauled to the back of our lot.

I am trying to save $783 (cost of matching dresser) by spray
painting an old dresser black to match our new
bedroom furniture.  It's black, but looks more like a $25 dresser.
bummer.  How does Melissa make everything look so easy?

Ice blocking

A few years ago we tried to go ice blocking in Lubbock.

Except there were no ice blocks at the gas stations.

Or grassy hills for miles and miles in any direction.

We failed miserably.

But now we are in Utah...  where gas stations understand the need to go ice blocking.  

And there are beautiful grassy hills very close to our old house which is somewhat close to our new house.  So our world was happily complete as we went ice blocking this week.

I finally have a sewing room... but don't worry - if you come to visit me I will share it with you!!  I am still looking for a cool cabinet to go on the other side with my sewing table, but I really like the day bed I found on ksl.com.  Fits perfectly and makes into a king bed!

ROCKS!

We are getting ready to start landscaping and want to use some of the rocks from the fill dirt that was brought in... so this morning I had everyone out helping.  

Kayla and Tyson got in last night after driving 3 days from Virginia.  So very fun to have them here!!!!!!!!!

It is taking a loooong time to get our house put together, so I decided I would post each room as we get them done.

RED WASHER and DRYER.
I love them.
They make me happy.
Inanimate object can do that, you know.

I purchased 9 seaweed prints a few years ago
when I was working in Victoria, BC.
Because I love British Columbia.
even more than red appliances.

One room down.
Too many more to go.
