Except there were no ice blocks at the gas stations.
Or grassy hills for miles and miles in any direction.
We failed miserably.
But now we are in Utah... where gas stations understand the need to go ice blocking.
And there are beautiful grassy hills very close to our old house which is somewhat close to our new house. So our world was happily complete as we went ice blocking this week.

Old Indian Proverb "Old lady with broken foot will have another broken foot when she goes ice blocking." Actually looks like fun...sorta like tubing in the winter...think I will try it.
