First snow-hike and ice-sledding of the year...
Today we took Braden, his friend Jared, Shea and Jack up American Fork canyon. There wasn't quite enough snow for snow-shoeing but we made do.
After the hike, we headed over to Mutual Dell one of our favorite sledding places from years ago. Not too much snow, more like ice; but the kids had a blast sledding.

Grandma Zee moves in....
Moving day finally arrived.... and it was cold! But no snow or ice.... so we considered it all good. Braden had a few friends come over to help and our home teacher brought a few other strong arms. It took less than an hour to unload the van. Now Grandma Zee is getting it all put together. I'll post those pictures in a week or so once she has it whipped into shape.

New bike - Small concussion
After 10 years, my old bike was wearing out and recently it only had one working gear. So the day after Thanksgiving Greg and Robert helped me pick out a new one. So pretty and it shifts like a hot knife through butter. It was a chilly, but gorgeous day and we headed out for a ride.
I was having a hard time keeping my shoes clipped in. Robert was riding next to me and I swerved into him while struggling with my shoe. He tried to save me, but I over-corrected and we both went down. I landed pretty hard and hit my head on the pavement. I thought I was fine, the bruising was the only thing really bothering me so we finished up the ride. It wasn't until the next morning when I started feeling VERY sick. It brought back the memory of my head injury 16 years ago. Definitely not that bad, but I think it was a slight concussion.
The best part was that my bike wasn't injured.
The worst part was that the next day was a gorgeous day to ride and I wasn't able too. Hopefully we keep getting nice weather.

Turkey Shoot
Every year my company invites Realtors to a turkey shoot. Really it was pigeons. Clay ones. But who cares about all those little details.
I brought my girl team. Joli, Karen and Lori. I was the only inexperienced one. And the only one scared of the gun. But I LOVED it! I shot three of those neon pink pigeons. (but I won't tell you out of how many shots.) I also learned a few things:
- it's shells. not bullets.
- 12 gauge is bigger than 20 and a 410 is for wimps like me. (I shot all three)
- guys like to make fun of girls like me.
- but then they dish out some great advice.
- because they know you still won't be better than them.
There was an AMAZING sunset.
We started with Annie Oakley
I lost.
shocker.
Girls with Guns
totally awesome!
Doug (our builder) and his son Easton
Yep - I am cool.

Sadie Hawkins
11.11.11 was Sadie Hawkins and Braden was asked by his friend Rachel.... they went with a group of kids and everyone dressed for the game Clue. Braden and Rachel were "Mrs. Peacock". I love this group photo (though the ones below show more of their true characters).
The evening consisted of the photo shoot, pizza, life-sized Clue, real Clue, watching Prestige, going to the dance and then eating waffles and ice cream. All in one date. They all had a blast.
